MILANO CORTINA 2026 / CASA ITALIA / CONI

On the occasion of the XXV Winter Olympic Games Milan Cortina 2026, Casa Italia reaffirms its role as the symbolic home of Italian excellence — a space where sport, culture, and vision converge. Spanning three iconic locations — the Triennale di Milano, the Aquagranda Olympic Preparation Center in Livigno, and Farsettiarte in Cortina d’Ampezzo — Casa Italia welcomes Italy Team athletes, partners, and an international audience, offering the world a compelling narrative of Italian values and identity.
For this Olympic edition, the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) has chosen Musa as its guiding theme, a tribute to Italy’s enduring place in the global imagination. For centuries, the country has been a wellspring of inspiration, creativity, and beauty — a living dialogue between heritage and innovation, tradition and the future.
Following the experience of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, IT’S once again serves as the designer of the Casa Italia Milan Cortina 2026 installations, a CONI project coordinated by Lorenzo Pellicelli, CONI Marketing Director.
For the architectural and scenic design, we worked with elements that evoke alpine atmospheres and solutions, expressed through materials such as aluminum — typical of mountain bivouacs for its durability and ease of transport — and wood, a hallmark of alpine tradition. The aesthetics of mountain infrastructure also guided the project: aerodynamic curved lines, serial repetition, and modularity become expressive features that enhance the sense of movement and speed intrinsic to winter sports.
