Paolo Mezzalama
Partner and co-founder of IT’S since 2016.
After graduating from the French high school in Rome, he enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at Roma Tre in 1993 where he graduated in 2001 with a thesis on infrastructure and landscape under supervisor Alessandro Anselmi. He worked with the Studio Salvioni studo in Rome on several housing projects and with Francesco Cellini on the design for a housing complex in Orvieto and the new FAO headquarters in Maccarese, Rome. Since 2004, he has been part of the Scape group, with which he was awarded the “Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes” by the French Ministry of Culture in 2008 and Young Talent of Italian Architecture by the Ordine Nazionale degli Architetti (National Architects’ Association) in 2014. In 2016 ,together with partners Alessandro Cambi and Francesco Marinelli, he founded a new company: IT’S s.r.l., with offices in Rome, Paris and Geneva. He has given lectures at universities in Milan, Rome, Genoa and overseas in Madrid, Moscow and Los Angeles. He was Stefano Cordeschi’s assistant in the Architectural Planning Laboratory and has been associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Roma Tre University since 2010.
